Zanzibar is an archipelago of islands located of the mainland coast of Dar es Salaam. These islands have a diverse culture and are renowned for their exotic beaches and spice plantations. The capital of Zanzibar is Zanzibar City, which is located on the island of Unguja. Its historic centre is Stone Town, which is a World Heritage Site. The Island of Unguja is also home to many endangered species including the red colobus monkey and green turtle.

Construction Volunteers

Construction Volunteers are expected to work between 3 – 5hours a day, 6 days a week.

You will be tasked with:

  • Building the foundation, plastering the walls & painting the school

  • Constructing the roof

Volunteers

 

Community Development Volunteers are expected to work between 3 – 5 hours a day, 6 days a week

You will be tasked with:

  • Tutoring the kids in English, Arabic, and Math

  • Arts and Crafts

  • Skill-Based Coaching

Volunteers are required to get their own teaching material.
